Prepare to see less artwork from me for a while, stupid a levels >.<
My photography coursework is in in a couple of weeks which needless to say is not good and I really need to get out and take some more photos
Attempted a photo session on Sunday at my friends (R's) yard with her and her little irish cob Georgie and got a few pics in the school (well field with jumps in - I'm far too used to the indoor school at Selica's yard XD) but things went a bit wrong after that. We decided to go up to the woods since it was nice and warm so we left our coats at the yard and made our way across the mahoosive field that belongs to the farmer which takes about 15-20 mins and by the time we got the the edge of it it was veeery overcast and not good for taking piccies. Last few days there have been a few showers and a bit of hail, but they've only lasted a few mins before they've cleared up so of course when my friend asks if we should go back I'm like "Nooo it'll be fine".
So yeah we start our way round the woods (we decided to stick to the main bridlepath because it was less muddy
) and preditably it starts raining. Not too bad we think, so we keep going. Suddenly it starts tearing down and Georgie starts spooking at random invisible things so we decide to cut our losses and go back to the yard, hoping that the rain will stop soon and we can just do a some schooling. Friend *ahem* generously swaps with me and I get on Georgie (having already accepted that with the crappy lighting, spooky horse, and pouring rain, photos just aren't going to be happening). Apart from her trying to trot backwards and spooking at a patch of mud on the floor the ride back is fairly uneventful, except now the wind has got up and the rain is even worse. All 3 of us including Georgie wanted to get back as quick as possible, but we kept it slow as the ground was pretty muddy and slippy by this point and my friend was walking and it would have been mean to leave her behind
By the time we got back to the yard were completely soaked and must have looked like we'd fallen in the pond on the farmer's land (my friend was only weaaring a t-shirt and I was wearing a very thin hoody) so we untacked Georgie and put her rugs on, then we had to walk Geogie back to her field (10 min walk each way as her field is right at the bottom o_O), and even though I'd put my coat and gloves on before I took her to the field, I still had no feeling in my fingers ao it took what seemed like forever to undo her leadrope once we got there...
So yes once I'd got back to the yard me and R decided to hide out in the tack room to warm up which let me tell you took a veery long time. The rain stopped by the ground was rubbish so we met up with another of our friends (S) who has a pony at the yard next door and who was only slightly drier than us as she'd been out in the woods as well, and decided to go home. Got to the bus stop (which is conveniently outside a supermarket), bought some crap food and got on the bus. A few stops on some guy gets on and we were all at the back of the bus and he decides to sit next to us despite the fact that there are LOADS of free seats in other places. Then he proceeds to stare at us for the rest of the bus journey, which is especially creepy for R as he was about 6 inches away from her.
We get to our stop and get off (no more creepy man yay!) and S decides to walk the rest of the way as she only lives a few mins away. Me and R wait around and the bus comes that will take us to Selica's yard so we decide to get on it as I'd left something there and I figured while I was out I may as well go and pick it up. We get off the bus near the yard and guess what - it starts raining again. I picked up my stuff and we left again (didn't spend much time at the yard as we just wanted to get home and get the feeling in our toes back) and it starts HAILING. And it wasn't even like they were small hailstones, oh no, they were HUGE. So not only are we soaking, we are also now swearing every time one of the hailstones clips us round the head. Since the council are too cheap to pay for an actual bus shelter at (despite the fact that there is one on the opposite side of the road o_O) we squash ourselves into a bush and laugh about it. A bus finally comes but it only takes us halfway home but we get on it anyway to get out of the wet.
About five mins from where we get off a car smashes into the side of the bus. A bloody car! It was the weirdest things, we saw him pulling out and figured he would stop but the fool was not looking where h was going (bus even swerved to try to avoid him). We were like WTF! No one was hurt or anything but everyone had to get of the bus so me and R decided to walk the rest of the way to where we would have got off since no buses could have gotten down the road we were on anyway since our bus was blocking the road. (Did I mention that it was still raining?
)
We got there eventually, laughing ourselves silly by this point, and after waiting around under the bus shelter (there actually was one this time...) my dad phoned and asked if we wanted a lift since he was in the area anyway. So we did eventually get home... though I now have a huge hacking cough which makes me sound as though I've been smoking 60 a day for the last 20 years lol.
Anyway, once I've been through the photos I'll probably put some up on my other account XD

I cannot wait until this year is over and I don't have to do any more of this crap...
Went for a ride on Sunday, and Selica was actually behaving herself fairly well (apart from her complete refusal to go into the corners without stopping 
) and she only spooked twice 
The bitch who manages the yard most of the week has left as well which I am naturally very pleased about 
She's having a baby and the yard owner has said she does not want her back afterwards for reasons I won't go into (though lets just says she deserves much worse).
